Prentiss County offers the benefits of an educated workforce
to today’s high tech industrial climate, as well as providing outstanding
educational opportunities for area residents.
We are proud to be home to Northeast Mississippi Community College, the Booneville Separate School District, the Baldwyn Separate School District, and the Prentiss County School System.
NORTHEAST MISSISSIPPI COMMUNITY COLLEGE
Northeast is a comprehensive community college with transfer, career,
and technical courses available in day, evening, weekend, and on-line
formats. The college has received accreditation through the Southern Association
of Colleges and Schools.
The Division of Workforce Training and Economic Development at Northeast
has consistently been one of the best regarding the access and expenditure
of training funds to assist area employers and consortium projects.

PUBLIC SCHOOLS
All K-12 public schools in Prentiss County were rated “Successful”
or above in the most recent Statewide Accountability System Review, with
the majority rated level 5 or “Superior”.
